Fundraiser Collections Are Next Week

August 29th, 2008

Just a reminder that collections for the PSTA fundraiser will be next week. Please take advantage of this last weekend to help your child sell as many items as possible. Mr. Wally has made some changes in the ‘Ten and You’re In’ party. It sounds like it will be really awesome and a lot of fun this year. You won’t want to miss out on this one if you can keep from it.

The PTSA Fundraiser Has Begun!

August 22nd, 2008

As most of you probably already know, the PTSA fundraiser was kicked off this last Thursday, August 21st! There is a large variety of wrapping paper from which to choose. With Christmas rapidly approaching (you know it will be here before you know it!), it is not too soon to stock up. There is also a brochure with many attractive silver jewelry items in it. Again, it’s never too soon to begin thinking about Christmas presents or even birthdays if you have some of those on the horizon. There are also magazine subscriptions you can order as well as many other items. The money raised will go toward purchasing items that will be used in the classroom or the school to help benefit our children. Please take a few minutes to look through the catalog of items being sold and place your order knowing that ultimately it is our children who will benefit.

Our Team

August 8th, 2008

We are Team 6-D! The teachers on our team are Mrs. Norton (Team Leader) who teaches language arts; Mrs. Wallace who teaches science, Mrs. Sandra Emerling who teaches social studies, and Mrs. Gibson who teaches math,

We enjoyed meeting each of you who came to our “Mock Day” Friday morning! We hope it will help to make your child’s first day of middle school a little less stressful. There are many adjustments that are part of moving to a middle school environment, but we are here to help you. You will be pleasantly surprised by how quickly you (students and parents both) will fall into the routine.

Enjoy your weekend and come Monday refreshed and ready to plunge into a new school as well as a new school year!

Student Checkout Informtion

August 8th, 2008

We understand that it is sometimes necessary to check out a student before the end of the school day. Parents, if this situation should arise, please write a note stating the time that you will be checking your child out. Have your child take this note to the office (before going to the locker or homeroom, if possible) where he/she will be given a checkout slip. You child needs to show this checkout slip to the teacher he/she will have at the time of actual checkout. If you plan for your child to return to school before the end of the school day, please go with your child to the office and check him/her back into school. There can be no checkouts after 2:45 in the afternoon.
